Krzysztof was talking about a new business model that can be helpful in generating additional profit. He also mentioned the new regulations around GDPR and marketing’s role in data protection and the necessity to assure the customer that the data they are providing are safe and used according to their means.
Businesses such as banks, telecom operators and insurers are struggling because new financial models, fintech and insuretech are emerging. Telecoms have actually had this problem for the last 15 years, and banks are now experiencing it with services and applications, such as Skype, that are threatening their revenues. TASIL – real-time marketing platform in Oman
TUATARA has created TASIL in partnership with Omantel (and we built it on the backbone of TUATARA’s product, RETIXA) to work as a platform for marketing communication for B2B clients to hyper-target customers using telecom data.
During the presentation, Krzysztof showed two real-life applications of TASIL:
• A sophisticated, location-based real-time SMS Marketing campaign for Carrefour Oman
• Assistance during a cyclone threat in the Arabian Peninsula in May 2018 by sending customised messages with information about incoming danger
